Town Mails Letters for Violations of Town Ordinances
Click here to view a copy of the letter that was mailed out for violations of town ordinances. The ordinance only provides for 10 days to come into compliance; however, Council felt that was virtually impossible to do and extended the time to 30 days. Also as set forth in the letters, if you need an extension of time or need assistance, contact the Town Hall and each case will be dealt with on a case-by-case basis. A total of 42 letters were mailed out for violations of town ordinances.
There may be others in the not-too-distant future.
Under Virginia Code Sections 15.2-900; 15.2-901; 15.2-904 and 15.2-906 the Town of Dungannon can legally enforce town ordinances regarding vehicle issues, etc. Click here to read each code section.
